On Day 15 – 17 we cycled from Taumaranui to Whanganui, along the truly remarkeble Whanganui River Trail and we even took a jetboat along a section of the river.. what a crazy experience!
Day 15
On day 15 we cycled from Taumaranui along the Whanganui River into remote valleys and settlements until we reached the Blue Duck Station. Since we had catch the jetboat on the river the next day at 1 pm we were concerned that we wouldn’t make it in time, since the Mountain to the Sea Trail was quite challengeing an we our bike were almost a little too heavy loaded for this kind of trail… so we decided to go further into the forest / trail and stay on Mosley’s campsite (DOC).

Day 16
On Day 16 we rode from Mosleys campsite very early in the morning (around 6am) straight to the Mangapurua (Bridge to Nowhere) Landing.

Day 17
On day 17 we rode from Pipiriki to Whanganui, which was one long and gentle descent, with sunshine and a light breeze! What a Joy!
