On day 05 and 06 I went from Dargaville to Auckland. Of course I had several break days inbetween, since I had to wait for the bad weather to be over, wanting to repair my bike, waiting for the bike ferry over the Kaipara Harbour etc.. All in all it was several days inbetween, but here are some imperessions…

Day 05

on day 05 I went from Dargaville to Potou Point, which is the southern most point on the penisula, which creates the entrance to the great Kaipara Harbour, which is actually the biggest inner harbour in the southern hemisphere and its coastline stretches over 3000kms.

Day 06

on day 06 we took the ferry from Pouto Point over the Kaipara Harbour into the Kaipara River. From Helensville to Auckland was a nice ride on a not so busy afternoon over backroads. The weather couldn’t have been better!
